If you prefer no such space, like this:
for ( @a = @$ap, $u = shift @a; @a; $u = $v ) { # -nsfs
then use nsfs.

-nbbc | No blanks before comments | By default, a blank line will be introduced before a full-line comment. This rule prevents that. |
